Trine Bøgelund-Kjær

Trine specializes in construction law and, for more than 25 years, has advised both Danish and international contractors as well as public and private developers on construction-related legal matters and technical consultancy law. She provides legal support throughout the construction process and in subsequent disputes—particularly in connection with contract drafting and negotiation, expert appraisals, claims related to additional work, delays, penalties, and expert decisions on claims under guarantees.
Trine also has extensive experience advising public-sector clients on public procurement law. She provides strategic guidance on planning tender procedures, including the choice of tender form and award criteria.
Background
Trine holds a Master of Laws (cand.jur.) from the University of Copenhagen (1995).
She is a certified mediator (2004, The Danish Bar and Law Society) and completed additional certification as a construction mediator in 2005.
She was admitted to the bar in 1998 and is admitted to the Danish High Court.
Trine has also taught procurement and construction law for many years at the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA).
